Waiting List Fee Special

Friday, November 20, 2009
I know money can be tight during the Holiday season, especially when you are trying to start a business or spruce up your existing one for the new year. In light of that, I have decided to add a special savings to all new waiting list fees. Instead of having to fork out 25% of your total balance, there will be a flat fee of $495.00! Great savings up front for you. I have one spot available for December and several for January and February so grab them now and get that business going in 2010!

If you have recently inquired about services or received a project proposal, I would be happy to extend this offer to you as well. :)

Picture Time

If you remember a few weeks back, I had scheduled a session with Ms. Morgan of Mesh Photography to have photos done of me and the kids. Well, I got some of them (more to come later) and they are fantastic! I loved the way she captured how fun we are hanging out together.

We stopped by a field on the way home from taking the more urban shots. She was so scared that there was a snake in the grass.

Love the train track shots! Gia was scared to death...being the cautious girl that she is, she knew it wasn't "safe" for us to be on those tracks. She kept asking if a train was coming. I told her we would hear it WAY before it got to us. (There were never any actual trains on those tracks.)

Of course, we had to bust out our matching Chucks! (Xander can't stand to wear them so he opted out of this one.)

I always love up close shots of Xander. Even though his eyes are brown, they sparkle in the sunlight.

Yes, I am quite a "big-boned" lady so it was a little weird seeing photos of my entire body since most of the photos I have ever taken of myself are from the chest up. I have to say though that it was a fun experience and I am glad I did it. In fact, since The Baconator was working that day, we are going to drag him with us next time for a whole family photo. Thanks Ms. Morgan, we LOVE the photos!

New Site Launch :: Market Mommies

Wednesday, November 18, 2009
We just launched a fabulous new web site dedicated to helping Moms get their businesses seen. Market Mommies was founded by Toni Bloomfield, a mom who wanted to showcase other Mom owned businesses and products on a large scale. I had an awesome time working with Toni. She let me do my own thing when it came to the creativity of her web site and logo. I love it when that happens!

Are you a Mom owned business? If so, get over to marketmommies.com and sign up for a FREE listing in their directory! They also have paid spots and advertising opportunities available.

Gettin Crafty Challenge Week #1

Sunday, November 15, 2009
For the first week's challenge I actually did a few things, mostly because it was Gia's birthday. Instead of showing you each thing, I am going to show you my favorite. I made this cute outfit for her Chuck E Cheese party and I loved how the tee turned out. It was really quick (which I LOVE) and the great thing is you can make just about any sort of shape out of the same technique and it would be totally cute! All I did was cut out a cupcake shape with felt and then a smaller version with different cotton fabrics. Ironed it all on the tee (in layers) and then straight stitched around everything. This morning after trying the tee on Gia wanted a cherry on top so I added a piece of matching felt and little pink button. The pants were just very simple capri type pants with a bias trim. I found some wrapping paper that matches the plaidy print and she totally coordinated...it was totally cool (at least I thought so!).

I am going to move the links of some of the first week's post over to this one so we can all show off our projects for the challenge. I am also going to add a link under the banner on the sidebar so you can find everything easily and follow along if you would like. :)

My Baby is Four

Saturday, November 14, 2009
G BabyJust a few short years ago my sweet pea was a sweet little baby! Now she is four and that is wigging me out a bit. I just can't believe how much time flies by as you get older. I remember as a teenager thinking that time was going by SO slow and I couldn't wait to turn 18, then 21 and now several (ok, slightly more that several) years later, I just want to slow down time. The birthday girl had a 3 time birthday bash this year. If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook then I am sure you have seen all of the party craziness that was going on this last week. On Thursday (her actual bday) we did a party for her class at school, where I baked cupcakes and made her a special birthday tee (pics below), then that night we had a family dinner that she got to choose. Her menu was rotisserie chicken, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, carrots and dressing with of course cake. Weird that a 4 year old would choose chicken and vegetables but she actually likes that kind of stuff (so not like my other child). Then today was the BIG party at Chuck E Cheese. Of course, I made her an outfit to wear because well, because I always do. The Baconator says I bring stress upon myself by doing all of this stuff but I don't care because it makes it special. :) Chuck E Cheese was crazy busy, very go go go and extremely loud. I think next year we are going to do something a little more quiet and not on a crazy strict time schedule. She only had like 15 minutes to open all of her presents so it was very rushed and I hated that she couldn't take more time to do that. Oh well, she loved all of her gifts and a big thank you to everyone that came! Here are a few pics of all of the birthday festivities.

See Gia's shirt? I love the way it turned out and she loved that everyone knew how old she was going to be. Xander's face is so funny to me in this pic. He really loved those cupcakes.
