I was able to get some of the photos that
Morgan took of us a few months ago so I could play around with them in Photoshop. I am actually redesigning her blog so look out for that soon. :) If you have ever seen an awesome photos and said to yourself "How do those she/he get those photos to look so good?" 99.99% of the time, it is with the help of Photoshop. Unfortunately, most photos don't come out of the camera looking awesome...they need a little help to get there. :) Oh Photoshop, how I love thee...I am amazed every time I use it (and I have a pretty basic knowledge). I wish I had the time to take an actual course so I could learn all there is to know, I would be a happy happy girl. Granted, I would probably never get any work done because I would be too busy playing. ;) Anyway, back to the photos...I am going through my favorites and will be posting them here randomly over the next few weeks (with a few PS tutorials for you). Morgan took all of these photos...I just edited them. :)
Why do I love shoes so much? Maybe it is just pink shoes. ;) This is one of the first photos I edited and I liked it so much that I am using it as the wallpaper on my laptop. I mean look at those little pink Chucks...too cute!

I was coming up with some suggestions for what The Baconator could get me for Christmas when I stumbled upon
this handsome man! Oh the things we could do together, he and I. Now, unless hell suddenly freezes over or we win the lottery I don't expect this to be under the tree. A girl can dream though right? ;)

I came across
I Heart Faces a few month's ago and I absolutely love this web site. Many of you know I am a bit of an amateur photographer so I love to learn new techniques and look at other people's photos. Each week, I Heart Faces has a challenge, this week being "Pet's Only". When I saw the theme, I jumped at the chance to participate because I knew just the photo I would use.
This is Spot. My favorite animal in the world (probably ever). Older followers of my blog probably remember previous posts about Spot but for all the newcomers, I will give you a brief profile.
This is Spot and he is the best cat in the world because...
1. He is house trained so no yucky litter box to change.
2. Out of everyone in the family, he loves me the most. Just ask them and they will tell you. ;)
3. Every night when work is done and the kids are in bed, he curls up with me on the couch. Every night like clockwork.
4. He keeps a very tight schedule during his day (being sarcastic here). He is super lazy and I don't mind one bit.
5. He let's Gia lay on him and pull at his ears without so much a a flinch (although in his old age, he has started to take a gentle swipe at her but I say, if you can't take the heat! ;) )
6. He has a broken tail, right on the end. It has always been that way and I think it gives him character.

When I went outside to snap a pic of my crafty creation for this week, Xander was the laying on the grass in the front yard so I snapped a few photos of him too. I thought I would play around a little with some new actions I came across last week.
I love the look of black and white photography!
I found this cool Comic Book action that I know I will be using a lot in the future. I can't remember where I got it from so I can't post the link. :( sorry!
